2024 Auckland Boat Show
14th - 17th March 2024
Similar to last year, we were at the 2024 Auckland Boat Show again this year with one of our vessels, Trillian Trust Rescue and a fantastic group of volunteers. 2024's show saw well over 800 people through our boat, many of which were really keen to hear what work we do! It was a great 4 days, and we look forward to being back again next year.
We ran a competition with a prize worth $900 which will be drawn in the coming weeks.
Training Exercise with Coastguard Great Barrier and Coastguard Thames
9th - 10th March 2024
Trillian Trust Rescue, Waitoa Great Barrier Rescue and Richardsons Rescue all took part in a Large Training Exercise that was put together so that they could gain more experience with Search Patterns, On Scene Command, and Victim Recovery.
It was a fantastic weekend, and we hope to be able to train with Thames & Barrier again!
Training with the Royal New Zealand Navy
25th October 2023
Some of our volunteers participated in winch training alongside the Royal New Zealand Navy. They spent all day on the water practicing winching on and off the aft deck, and getting a feel for what it is like being the person being winched.
2023 Recruitment Drive
July - October 2023
2023 saw one of our biggest recruitment drives yet, with us having to remove our advertisement after just 2 weeks, getting over 70 applications in one go. Our new recruits are now well in to their training and all are a fantastic addition to our unit!

We were at the Auckland Boat Show with Trillian Trust Rescue, one of our Rescue Vessels. Come and visit us, tour our vessel and go in the draw to win a $300 voucher from Marine Deals.

A true legacy of the 36th Edition of The America's Cup. At the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, "Home of the America's Cup", Coastguard Auckland volunteers and supporters welcomed their new Lotto funded Rescue Vessel 'Trillian Rescue Alpha'.
